A star-studded event will take place on November 18th, celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of Musicians on Call. Musicians on Call is an organization that was founded in 1999 with the mission of bringing music to hospitalized children to help them throughout their treatments and begin to effectively heal.
This year, at the New York City event, Kelly Clarkson (Starstruck Management artist and daughter-in-law of Reba McEntire) will be honored for her devotion to the organization and her years of significant involvement in bringing awareness to the importance of music in the healing process. Additionally, Kelly has been an advocate for raising a notable amount of funds in honor of the organization, participating in past events, and dedicating herself to supporting the cause. In a statement, Kelly stated “[b]eing involved with Musicians On Call has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I consider it a great gift to be able to share music and bring smiles to these brave children and their loved ones. It is healing for us all and I can’t wait to do it again!”
Performing at the event will be artists Jessie J, Nick Jonas, and Shawn Mendes. There are said to be additional surprise performers in the wings. Also being honored is Charlie Walk, Executive Vice President of Republic Records and Musicians on Call volunteers, Jeremy Bar-Illan and Sandy Lyon.
Congratulations to Kelly on this much deserved honor! Tickets can be purchased for the event, taking place at Espace in New York City on November 18th, by clicking here.
