It’s finally here! Kenny Chesney‘s music video for his new single, “American Kids” was released today. The video depicts Chesney playing guitar and performing his song in the desert with a bunch of young, carefree people while riding around in and dancing around a psychadelic 60s-70s style bus.
This is the first we’ve seen or heard of Kenny in awhile since he announced that he would be taking 2014 off from touring. “American Kids” is the first single off his upcoming 16th studio album, The Big Revival, which is set to be released September 23. Fans of Kenny’s can expect him to return to touring in 2015 in support of his new album. #CMchat writer, Nicole Piering, wrote an amazing review of this song last week (on the date of its premiere). Kenny Chesney broke on to the scene in 1994 and recently released his fourteenth studio album, Life on a Rock. The first single from his latest album, “Pirate Flag“, was released to iTunes on February 5, 2013 and peaked at Number Three on the Country Airplay chart in May 2013. The album’s second single, “When I See This Bar“, was released to country radio on June 10, 2013. Now, a year after Kenny’s last releases, he returns with “American Kids.”
