I am glad you’re reading this cause there is something really special about Kristian Bush that I try to explain to people and when they meet him, they get it, like right away. It’s easy to see how soulful he is and how much meaning he puts into everything he does.
Goodwill Industries International and Kristian Bush, one-half of Platinum-selling country duo Sugarland, partnered to raise awareness of Goodwill’s mission of transforming lives through the power of work. It’s a partnership inspired by the message of Bush’s debut solo single, “Trailer Hitch,” which reminds us that we collect so many things that we don’t need, and we can’t take it with us when we go… so why not “give it away”?
“The song, ‘Trailer Hitch’ says, ‘I may not have that much but I don’t mind spreading it around.’ Almost everyone knows someone who is struggling to make ends meet and unemployment in our country is still a problem. The simple act of giving away what you no longer need to Goodwill can help someone find a job. That’s pretty amazing to me.”
– Kristian Bush
Through Kristian’s partnership with Goodwill he wants to encourage music fans to donate clothing, electronics and small household goods in their communities, and remind them that the revenue from the sale of these donations goes directly to help find employment for people with disabilities, disadvantages, or anyone facing challenges.
It absolutely made my heart smile and eyes leak when I saw this video. The powerful combination of Kristian Bush and Goodwill is spot on and I can’t think of a better ambassador of the spirit of giving that Goodwill represents than Kristian!
