While Dallas is prepping for this weekend’s huge Academy of Country Music Awards, country’s biggest stars are en route to the Lonestar State. Lady Antebellum is amongst them, but for leading lady, Hillary Scott, the journey has been surprisingly harrowing.
Early this morning, a tour bus carrying Scott, her husband Chris Tyrrell, Lady A’s tour manager and the bus driver, caught fire en route to Dallas from Nashville. Apparently, the bus blew a tire and then went on fire. And judging from the photos, this was no typical tire blowout.
Thankfully, no one was harmed, and according to Scott, they evacuated the vehicle quickly.
We’re so happy everyone is safe…and perhaps they should stick to travel via 747.
Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!! ~hillary
