Earlier this year, New York City announced it’s first every country music festival in the form of Farmborough Festival, hitting the Big Apple in June. Now, Chicago is adding its own Live Nation Festival, LakeShake Fest, hitting the Windy City June 19-21.
The Chicago fest will feature headlining performances by Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line and Brad Paisley. It will take place over three days at the FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island.
In addition to the headliners, LakeShake will also feature performances by Frankie Ballard, Easton Corbin, Clare Dunn, Mickey Guyton, Randy Houser, Maddie and Tae, Ashley Monroe, Kip Moore, Justin Moore, David Lee Murphy, Joe Nichols, Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn, Thomas Rhett and Canaan Smith, with more to be announced soon.
“Being a native Chicagoan, it has been a dream of mine to present a world class country music festival in my hometown,” said Brian O’Connell, President of Country Touring at Live Nation Entertainment in a statement. “The backdrop of the beautiful skyline of Chicago, and the coolness of being right on the lake shore will enhance the incredible artists we have lined up for year one.”
