Lee Brice Performs #DrinkingClass The Voice with #TeamBlake’s Corey Kent White

Lee Brice’s “Drinking Class” became the #1 Country song in the nation this week according to Mediabase. Already an RIAA Gold certified digital track, “Drinking Class” follows “I Don’t Dance” as Lee’s second consecutive hit from his September 2014 album, I Don’t Dance. The recent double ACM winner performed the song on NBC’s The Voice with #TeamBlake’s Corey Kent White.

Lee told Rolling Stone:

I’m a big fan of The Voice and tune in any time I can. I’m also excited to perform “Drinking Class” on Tuesday, and it’ll be a blast getting to see my buddy, Blake.

As a follow-up to “Drinking Class,” Lee’s next radio single will be “That Don’t Sound Like You,” co-written with Rhett Akins and Ashley Gorley, ASCAP’s 2014 Country Music Songwriter of the Year.

“Drinking Class” Lyrics

We’re up when the rooster crows
Clock in when the whistle blows
Eight hours ticking slow
And then tomorrow we’ll do it all over again

I’m a member of a blue collar crowd
They can never, nah they can’t keep us down
If you gotta, gotta label me, label me proud

I belong to the drinking class
Monday through Friday, man we bust our backs
If you’re one of us, raise your glass
I belong to the drinking class

We laugh, we cry, we love
Go hard when the going’s tough
Push back, come push and shove
Knock us down, we’ll get back up again and again

I’m a member of a good timing crowd
We get rowdy, we get wild and loud
If you gotta, gotta label me, label me proud

I belong to the drinking class
Monday through Friday, man we bust our backs
If you’re one of us, raise your glass
I belong to the drinking class

We all know why we’re here
A little fun, a little music, a little whiskey, a little beer
We’re gonna shake off those long week blues
Ladies, break out your dancing shoes
It don’t matter what night it is, it’s Friday
It’s Saturday and Sunday
I just want to hear you say
I just want to hear you sing it
Y’all sing it with me

We belong to the drinking class
Monday through Friday, man we bust our backs
If you’re one of us, raise your glass
We belong to the drinking class

Yeah, we belong to the drinking class
Monday through Friday, man we bust our backs
And if you’re one of us, raise your glass
We belong to the drinking class

Everyone asks “what exactly do you do Jessica?” What some of my family members say, “she tweets for a living” is my favorite, but really the title that puts food on the table is “Social Media Influencer,” the definition sounds simple, someone who influences others through social media, but I consider myself a Citizen Journalist broadcasting and entertaining with news, thoughts, opinions, delivering information in my own unique way. Famous for my ‘sass wit and straight from the hip’ style I’ve always been called a “Social Media Pioneer” in the music industry. I’m also an On-Air/Online Broadcasting Host and Personality, Digital Media Strategist, Country and Music Blogger/Journalist as well as a Nationally recognized Speaker and Founder of Country Music Chat, News and Views Entertainment Website CMChatLIVE.com. My favorite accomplishment is starting the largest Country Music Hashtag community in the world Country Music’s #CMChat. It all started with a hunch...back in the early 2000’s I would dial up the internet via AOL and join chat rooms whilst watching my favorite programs on TV. Loved watching Reality Shows with my Mom in Tucson, and blowing her mind with how I always knew who was going home on the Bachelor or Big Brother. Don’t think she ever caught on that I was talking to people via computer on the East Coast, where it had already aired. (We didn’t have the uber-spoiler Twitter or Facebook to ruin results and awards shows for us yet.) I’ve been taking over the internet, one tweet at a time and have accumulated over 3 Million followers/friends/fans across all my Social Media networks. Over the years I’ve been consistently ranked as an influential online personality and even named as a Forbes Top 50 Social Media Power Influencer. I was the first person Merle Haggard followed when he got on Twitter and spent the day with Garth Brooks at Twitter and Facebook when joined the social media world.
