REVIEW: @loveandtheft’s New Single “Night That You’ll Never Forget”

Following the success of their debut album, Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson, collectively Love and Theft, have released the first single off their sophomore album. “Night That You’ll Never Forget” (Dallas Davidson and Ashley Gorley) is a party song masked as a smooth, mellow tune that describes a night that we have all experienced at least once — those of us who are of legal age, that is!

The guys of Love and Theft sing about a night that started off as a quick cameo at a party that soon led to several drinks, some flirting, forgotten selfies, and friends filling in those inevitable memory lapses. With lyrics such as “You kissed a girl and she told you her secrets; she’s so hot, you still can’t believe it’s true; it ain’t over yet, but it’s gonna be a hard-to-remember night that you’ll never forget,” the song tells the tale of the unexpected night out that you may have to struggle to remember, but once you do, you surely won’t forget it again.

This track is a perfect segue into Love and Theft’s second album, as it is everything we love about country music – amazing lyrics, a perfect melody, gorgeous vocals, and the ability to make drunk sound sexy. The duo seamlessly delivers another gift from songwriting sensations, Davidson and Gorley, and will leave you looking forward to unwrapping more from Love and Theft on their next album.
