[email protected] Countrifies @Meghan_Trainor’s #AllAboutThatBass (Watch!)

Meghan Trainor’s debut single “All About That Bass” is all the rage these days, having already hit #1 in the United States, Canada, and Australia, also earning RIAA, ARIA, and RMNZ Platinum certification. Love it or hate it, this “can’t get it out of my head” tune is surrounded by a musical magnetic field and it has caught on globally.

Country sweetheart, Mary Sarah, who is best known for her recent album Bridges, featuring country music legends Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Freddy Powers, and Lynn Anderson (to name a few), has left her classic sound behind for a cover of this musical fad. Bringing her beautiful vocals, a country twang, and her adorable personality to the song, Mary Sarah stripped down that bass, added some strings, and turned this bubble gum pop power track into something we could very well hear cross into our genre.

Hey, if crossing over from pop to country doesn’t work for “All About That Bass,” it could always be changed into a parody about fishing, entitled “All About That Bass” …….. Any takers?
