Love ’em or hate ’em, the fact of the matter is the Dixie Chicks was one of the best groups to ever happen to country music. Putting all political issues aside, Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Robison changed the genre as we know it, and did so by releasing phenomenal music with each and every album.

Now, there is a slight chance you broke and/or burned said albums, but that doesn’t eliminate the fact that the female trio was incredibly talented and had a knack for producing hit songs. Miranda Lambert, Gwen Sebastian, and RaeLynn obviously agree with that sentiment, as the three Certified Platinum performers joined forces on the opening night of Miranda’s new tour to collaborate on Number 1 song “Cowboy Take Me Away.”

Also collaborating with the trio of blonde beauties was all of Evansville, Indiana — literally. All of it. I guess sometimes all there is to do is “shut up and sing.”

With each singer taking turns, and then the three combining efforts during the chorus, the fans were elated over Miranda’s choice for a cover song in her impressively long and comprehensive setlist. Sharing smiles of encouragement and singing along with one another throughout the performance, Miranda, Gwen, and RaeLynn showed that they are more than tourmates, but also true friends who enjoy sharing the stage.
