Courtesy of the extremely selfless and giving Miranda Lambert, many animals are going to have a wonderful holiday season. In support of Miranda’s organization, MuttNation Foundation, the Texas born singer raised $66,000 for her home state-based shelter that strives to end animal suffering and homelessness worldwide.
The large sum was raised through an online auction, which included items such as autographed copies of Miranda’s Platinum album, signed guitars, and tickets to a 2015 show, complete with a pre-show cocktail with Miranda herself. However, the biggest moneymaker of the night was a Ram Laramie Longhorn truck, an incredibly generous donation by Ram Trucks for the amazing cause. The truck brought in a total of $54,901, while the remaining items collectively raised approximately $11,000.
In discussing the auction, Miranda stated:
I’m happy to see everyone come together to raise so much money for MuttNation Foundation, which is so close to my heart. I appreciate Ram for donating the truck to me to auction off and for making this all possible. So many dogs will have happier holidays and lives thanks to this generosity. I have lived my entire life surrounded by trucks even to this day. I have also written songs that mention trucks, so I am so happy to be partnering with Ram. I’m looking forward to more exciting news with Ram Trucks in 2015.
