Country music superstar Miranda Lambert has been all about non-stop hard work since breaking out with her album, Kerosene, back in 2005. Her constant touring schedule hasn’t allowed her to take much of a break since that time, so the “Automatic” singer is giving herself a much needed break from the road. The “Automatic” singer states that she is looking forward to the time off, but at the same time feels a bit nervous.
“This is the longest break I’ve ever had since I was 17, since I started playing music. It’s kind of scary ’cause you just get your autopilot, and you know what you’re doing,” she says. “And then it’s like, ‘Wait a minute, do I really, do I remember how to do this?’”
For all the Miranda Lambert fans out there, she says this break is a good thing.
“It’s good, too, because then your batteries are recharged and you feel like you have more to give,” she says.
The long overdue break for Lambert will still provide fans with some shows. Miranda is set to play three shows on Jason Aldean’s Burn It Down Tour and performing her own shows in July and August.
Certainly after the release of Lambert’s highly anticipated Platinum album on June 3, the singer will be ready to hit the road shortly thereafter.
