Country’s men are topping the charts, but that doesn’t mean they are there without a fight. Recently, Carrie Underwood took the top spot at radio with “Something In The Water.” This week, two groups hope to race up the charts; one a veteran group, the other a new group. In addition, we have newcomer Josh Dorr to make a spot among the men. Here is what you can look forward to hearing on country music radio this week:
With the success of “Day Drinking” going to #2 on the country charts and 500,000 copies sold, Little Big Town releases their second single from Pain Killer. The song tells an inverted tale about having a “Girl Crush” on a lover’s mistress. The song has a Little Big Town feel, but in an unconventional way. Listen to the song and let us know what you think!
Josh Dorr – Save Your Breath
Josh Dorr is a promising up and coming artist. His first major label release is expected next year, but this week he releases “Save Your Breath” to country radio. The song itself is ready to take your breath away. If his upcoming music is anything like this song, you better get used to the name Josh Dorr.
Sweetwater Rain – Tailspin
Sweetwater Rain is Nashville’s latest group hoping to reach stardom. Having already shared the stage with Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry, and Little Big Town, the group is already making an impact at country radio. Their debut single “Starshine” made it to top 50 on Billboard charts, but the group is hoping to take “Tailspin” even higher. With Curb Records on their side, I’m sure we will hear plenty from this group in the future.
