Last week, radio was flooded with a multitude of new songs getting spins. Josh Turner had a great first week with “Lay Low”. There was an unexpected appearance by Eric Church, whose new single “Talladega” doesn’t release until next week. Be on the lookout for adds from Dierks Bentley and Sara Evans in the coming weeks as well. For now, here are the new tunes that will be playing this week on country radio:
Jon Pardi – When I’ve Been Drinking
Jon Pardi has yet to have a Top 10 hit on country radio, but the 29 year old did sell over 500,000 copies of “Up All Night” last year. If you’ve ever heard alcohol do the talking, that’s exactly what this song is all about. I was surprised to hear that “When I’ve Been Drinking” was chosen as the next single off of Write You A Song, but there isn’t a bad song on that CD. Give the song a listen and let us know what you think.
Katie Armiger – One Night Between Friends
At age 23, Katie Armiger has had quite the start to a career – she’s been on Cold River Entertainment since 2007 and has had huge success on GAC’s Top 20 Countdown. She’s been proven to have a loyal fan base and the music to back that up. “One Night Between Friends” is the first single off of her fifth studio album. Let’s see if this could be her first radio hit!
Kelsea Ballerini‘s story is one right out of a fairy tale. She signed a publishing deal with Black River in 2013 and before the year was out, they decided to sign her with a record deal as well. “Love Me Like You Mean It” is Kelsea’s first radio single and is getting a push from Bobby Bones on his morning show, so there’s no doubt that this will be heard across the nation. Be sure to be on the lookout for this artist!
More songs you will hear on radio this week:
Brittany Bexton – Free Fall
Brad Puckett – Kiss Me In The Rain
