First There Was #TimMcGraw; Now There’s #BlakeShelton

There are plenty of male country stars that make our hearts go pitter patter. There are those artists who have consoled us through the hard times, helped us celebrate the good times, and who seem to accompany us wherever we go.

For Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw was the artist who she could relate to a particular time in her life and whom helped put her name on the map. In fact, Taylor’s debut single “Tim McGraw” was the start of one of the most decorated and celebrated music careers of this generation. Now, Blake Shelton is the subject of a song that a new artist, Nya Jade, hopes introduces her to the country music world.

Nya is no stranger to music, but Nashville is where her eyes are ultimately set. With a resume that includes performances with the Donnas, Evanescence, Ben Kweller and Maroon 5, and an opening slot for Dave Matthews Band, Nya has the experience to take the industry by storm … once the industry gets a glimpse of this talented beauty.

Counting Blake Shelton as one of her greatest influences, Nya Jade dedicated an entire song to the impact one of the music industry’s most well-known artists has had on her life. “Blake Shelton” is an acoustic feel-good track that, quite simply, shares how a particular song or artist can touch someone, change his/her mood, and truly make a difference.

The chorus cleverly integrates the use of a Blake Shelton song and goes:

When I hear Blake Shelton singing on the radio, I feel like dancing, feel like letting go. He’ll be my honey bee, I’m flying wild and free, when I hear Blake Shelton, the night’s gonna be alright.

Nya, an artist whose debut album, My Denial, won critical favor for its refreshing blend of rock, soul, and pop elements, and immediately landed on VH1’s Top 20 Albums list, is making a run at country music and has experience, knowledge, and success on her side. We can’t wait to see what Nya Jade will bring to the country music industry … and what Blake thinks of this special song!
