Congratulations are in order for Ray Scott on his engagement!

Ray Scott has something different about him these days. Call it a hunch, but I think it could be that “hey I am officially engaged” air about him.

You read that correctly! Ray popped the question to his girlfriend, Stacey Beard, on March 4th. And because the two pretty much were aware it would happen, Ray explained to Country Weekly how he made it special…and romantic.

“We both kind of knew it was coming, so I chose to surprise her.” After cooking breakfast for his girlfriend in a very laid back environment, that was when Scott popped the question. Naturally, Stacey happily said yes, and the rest as they say is…well…history.

“It was just the two of us. No big hoopla or event-type feeling. That would’ve been a cliché and somewhat expected by most. This is between her and me, the way it’ll always be,” Scott says.

Ray also shared that he was happy the proposal wasn’t some big drawn out affair. He said the intimate approach was perfect and fit their relationship.

“It’s a happy time for us both. Everybody deserves to feel that way,” he adds.

We don’t have a wedding date yet, but the two are certainly over the moon to be taking this next step and spend their futures together, and we couldn’t be more happy for them!

Looks like things are paradise in Ray’s personal life, but his professional life also needs a praising. Ray is a Country Music’s #CMchat favorite and has been dubbed a true traditional artist by many in the industry. He released his third album in 2014 and just wrapped a video his song, “Ain’t Always Thristy.”

A HUGE congratulations to Ray and Stacey!
