With less than a month to go until the release of her highly anticipated album Love Somebody, Reba took to social media to share a snippet of one of the album’s most-anticipated tracks, “Enough.” While any song from Reba McEntire would be highly-anticipated, this track immediately caught buzz because it features another of country’s hottest females, Jennifer Nettles.
And while there were many ways this track could go, from the one and a half minute preview shared on Twitter, it’s clear that it went to perfection. It’s a slow burn of a ballad that relies on both the women’s strengths as singers and storytellers. In fact, if Sugarland’s “Stay” and Reba and Linda Davis’ “Does He Love You?” had a baby, it would undoubtedly be “Enough.”
“I’m so excited to share another little tease of a song from my new album, Love Somebody! “Enough” is a duet with my buddy Jennifer Nettles. She sang the fire out of this song and I’m so glad she said yes to singing with me,” Reba wrote on Facebook. “I like to refer to this song as the 2015 version of “Does He Love You.” Hope y’all like it!”
Ah Reba, it’s hard not to like it! In fact, I’m certain that the full version will be on repeat come April 14th!
