A group of lucky kids were in for the surprise of their lives on December 12th, as not one but two superstars hopped upon the Music City Rollin’ Jamboree. While the kids sang along to Christmas songs, they were joined aboard the singalong bus tour by Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson.
As the tour rode through the streets of Nashville, the singers led a singalong before ending the night at the Thistle Stop Cafe where the music continued. Reba & Kelly performed for the children and their families before meeting each and every child to offer their kind words and encouragement. Additionally, the kids were in for another surprise, with an appearance by Nashville Film Festival’s executive director, Ted Crockett, who announced that a short documentary of the evening will be shown at the 2015 Nashville Film Festival. Additionally, the children would get the star treatment and be invited to walk the red carpet.
“I had a wonderful time on the Jamboree’s magic bus and Thistle Farms last week. Getting to see the smiles on those children’s faces warmed my heart,” Said Reba. “So blessed to be a part of such a special event.”
Clarkson echoed her sentiments, “Joining the kids for the Jingle Strong Jamboree was truly something special. It made my heart happy to be singing and laughing with everybody.”
It’s been a busy few weeks for both Clarkson and McEntire, who appeared on last week’s American Country Countdown Awards and helped to raise over $400,000 at Kelly’s Miracle on Broadway concert last weekend. Additionally, Clarkson paid a visit to Monroe Carrell’s Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to lend her voice to spreading Christmas cheer. We’re pretty sure both of these ladies are on Santa’s “nice list” this year.
