Country Music #CMchat former guest and longtime friend, Craig Campbell, has found a home with Red Bow Records, a subsidiary of the prestigious Nashville-based label, Broken Bow Records. Red Bow is home to Joe Nichols, Chase Bryant, and David Fanning, and now Craig joins the ranks as the newest signee to the Broken Bow/Red Bow family.
Craig explained to Billboard that Thompson Square’s Kiefer Thompson helped him get a meeting with Broken Bow owner, Benny Brown.
He said, “Benny Brown is all about good music, and he would be lucky to have you. Do you want me to make a call?” … For another artist to come to me and tell me that they wanted me to be a part of their label, that was pretty cool.
And good music, Craig has. Under his former label Bigger Picture Music Group (which closed earlier this year), Craig released his debut single, “Family Man”. The song reached the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, peaking at #14 in April 2011. The album’s second single, “Fish”, released to country radio in June 2011, and reached #23. His third and final single from his debut project, “When I Get It,” peaked at #38 in early 2012.
Campbell released his fourth single, “Outta My Head”, in late 2012. The song was included on a second extended play of the same name and also appears on his second studio album, Never Regret. The album’s second single, “Keep Them Kisses Comin'”, was released to country radio became his biggest hit. In May 2014, it was announced that Bigger Picture would be closing.
Now a recording artist with Red Bow, Craig and his new team are in talks about songs for a debut Red Bow single. We certainly hope that Craig keeps them big hits comin’ and soon!
Congratulations to Craig and Red Bow Records on their new relationship!
