[email protected] to Release 4-Song EP “X2C” on 8/12

Sam Hunt may be one of country music’s hottest and most exciting new stars, having recently released his fast-rising single “Leave the Night On.” On the heels of that release, but in advance of his full-length debut, Hunt will release X2C, a four-track EP to preview his debut album.

Hunt’s X2C will be released on August 12 and feature four tracks co-written by Hunt, who has already garnered some impressive cuts by other artists. Hunt’s songwriting credits include Kenny Chesney‘s “Come Over,” Billy Currington‘s “We Are Tonight” and Keith Urban‘s “Cop Car.” His X2C EP was produced by Zach Crowell and Shane McAnally.

“I’m [sic] can’t wait to share a few early tracks from the album,” says Hunt. “We’ve been having so much fun with the music out on the road and I’m excited to get this music out to our fans.”

“Leave the Light On” has already sold more than 197,000 downloads, setting Hunt up for an impressive first album. His forthcoming major label debut is due out on MCA Records Nashville on October 27.

Sam Hunt will be joining Kip Moore and Charlie Worsham on tour this fall, as part as CMT On Tour 2014: Up In Smoke.
