Tomorrow night (Sunday, July 13th) begins what ABC’s Rising Star has dubbed the “Duels,” and you can expect to find country music sweetheart, Sarah Darling, going head-to-head on the quest for the title. Similarly to the first time we saw Sarah perform on ABC’s new singing competition television show, Sarah will need your votes (using the Rising Star app) to #RaiseTheWall and keep her in the running. This time, however, Sarah will also be battling another contestant for the higher percentage of votes from the viewing and participating audience members.
To help Sarah win her duel against fellow contestant Megan Tibbits, you will need to download the Rising Star app and check in when prompted. During their duel, Megan is slated to perform first, followed immediately by Sarah. When it is Sarah’s turn to sing, simply swipe RIGHT/BLUE and cast your vote in her favor. If Sarah receives the higher percentage of votes by both the East and West coasts, she will continue her journey toward becoming America’s first Rising Star!
ABC’s Rising Star airs at 9:00pm ET/8:00pm CT. Sarah will be on tomorrow night, July 13th. Make sure to tune in LIVE so you can vote for #AmericasDarling, #RaiseTheWall, and help her obtain the higher percentage of votes. If you need a pre-show reminder as to why Sarah is so special and deserves your votes, check out our recent “7 Quick Clicks” celebrating Sarah’s career thus far.
Additionally, Sarah’s team has launched a campaign to encourage fan participation, awarding a select fan who notifies Sarah on Twitter that he/she has voted to keep her in the competition. The person whose notification to Sarah receives the most retweets will win an eight minute Skype call with Sarah. See the flier below for additional information regarding the contest and what hashtags you should use to participate.
Good luck to everyone who enters the contest, and, of course, best of luck to Sarah as she battles Megan in the Rising Star DUELS!
