Country music superstar, Taylor Swift, took her most recent tour, the RED Tour, out on the road, across the pond, and all over the world during a fifteen-month span. Covering North America and three other continents proved to be quite the revenue-generating endeavor for the two-time ACM Entertainer of the Year, as Taylor surpassed the all-time record for revenue for a tour by a country performer.
Billboard reported that Taylor’s tour earned more than $150 million, topping the previous record holders, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, whose 2006 and 2007 Soul2Soul World Tour brought in approximately $141 million. With eighty-six shows in twelve countries, Taylor sold over 1.7 million tickets for her RED Tour.
