Temecula Road’s “What If I Kissed You” Is What Music Should Be.

Two years ago Temecula Road won a local songwriting contest and its prize of a professionally produced song. The song, “Paper or Plastic,” video was filmed at their hometown Rancho Fruit Market in Old Town Temecula. The same year they won the West Coast Country Music Association’s Group of the Year.

17-year-old Maddie Salute (vocals) and sister 16-year-old Emma (vocals/mandolin) met 17-year-old Dawson Anderson (vocals/guitar) at vocals lessons and together formed the trio.

Last year The Huffington Post named them one of the top country artists to watch. They’ve opened for a number of country stars including Josh Turner, Martina McBride, and Kenny Rogers.

The Southern California natives’ mash-up of 2016’s top 20 country hits has over seven million views and 84,000 shares on Facebook.

This year Temecula Road was named Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing. Only two country acts have won since the singing contest began in 2008. The other? Kelsea Ballerini.

The trio can be heard on Radio Disney, Disney Channel, and across Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country’s digital platforms. Their covers have earned praise from Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Dan + Shay, Cam, and RaeLynn.

Signed to Disney Music Group’s Buena Vista Records, their debut single, “What If I Kissed You,” was released this past February. The song, (written by Jimmy Robbins, Sara Haze and Mike Daly) will remind you of Gloriana’s(Kissed You) Good Night.”

Watch the video below. It was filmed in California’s Antelope Valley with YouTube stars Cole LaBrant and Savannah Soutas. The trio is produced by Disney Music Group Executive Director of A & R and Music Publishing Mike Daly.

What if I kissed you, tell me what you’d do / would you be holding on all night? / would you be waiting or maybe I’d catch you by surprise

The group is featured weekly on Radio Disney Country’s social media giving fans a behind the scenes look at their lives as musicians on #TemeculaRoadTuesdays. They will be performing at this year’s C2C Country Music Festival at the O2 Arena in London.
