Thomas Rhett just claimed his third No. 1 single in a row with “Make Me Wanna”….which isn’t too shabby consider it was a song Rhett didn’t think could crack into a solid Top 40. Well…at least that’s what he text his buddy Dierks Bentley when the song was first released.
The song is a departure from the traditional with some serious infusion of Jazz and Bee Gee’s style funk. Yeah that’s right. I said funk. Now that was sure to have some risk factor to it, but it was a risk Thomas must be happy he took; because quite frankly it worked.
The song is the perfect bridge between “It Goes Like This” and the new stuff we’ve been working on so, this kind of support from country radio, my friends in the industry and the fans who have been relentlessly supporting me has got me really pumped for what’s next!
Well, that makes two of us because now we are really pumped for the next chapter! Congratulations to Thomas and his team on this accomplishment!
