What do you get when you take a husband and wife duo with a skill for songwriting and outstanding vocals? Stoney Creek Records artists Thompson Square.
Keifer and Shawna Thompson have made a huge impact in the country music community since their single “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” topped the charts. Shortly after that they had two more singles go to No. 1 – “If I Didn’t Have You” and “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About.”
The powerful duo have proven not only their talent but their ability to work well together. Their passion and creativity continues to grow musically and after taking some time off to celebrate the birth of their precious baby boy Cooper, they recently released their new single titled “You Make It Look So Good.”

What’s your official title and favorite thing about what you do?
Country music duo. We get to share our dream and make music together, doing what we love for a living.
What are three things you CANNOT live without?
Cooper, Cheat days and Music.
What’s the first concert you ever attended?
What’s is the hardest part of being new parents and what is the easiest?
Hardest: No sleep the first four weeks. Easiest: Knowing we did the right thing by deciding to have Cooper.
What’s the hardest life lesson you’ve learned as it pertains to music?
Don’t be afraid to be yourself.
Do you have a favorite restaurant or hang out spot in Music City?
M.L. Rose. They have the best burgers and sweet potato waffle fries.

Keifer: Mark Chestnut
Out of all the songs you’ve written, do you have a favorite?
Yes. “If I Didn’t Have You.”
Do you have a favorite place to perform?
No, not really. We love any place where there are Thompson Square Fans.
What would you say has been the highlight of your career thus far?
Writing and recording a No.1 song.
What current event has your eyes and ears? What are you doing about it?
We are getting ready to have our 2nd annual motorcycle ride to benefit the USO in support of our men and women in the military. Having fathers who are veterans makes supporting the military very near and dear to our hearts.
How do you think songwriters play a vital role in music today?
Without them there would be no music.
What’s one superpower you wish you had?
Shawna: Stop time

Name one artist of any genre besides country that you are a fan of and tell us why?
Keifer: Foo Fighters. They are one of the last great rock bands.
Shawna: Etta James. You could feel every note that she sang.
