For 24 years now Country Music Stars have stepped up to the plate, the home plate that is, to help City of Hope Strike Out Cancer!
One in three women and one in two men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes. During the CMA Music Festival, a star-studded roster of Country Music’s hottest performers and personalities join forces to help strike out the disease. Last year stars including Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Chase Rice, Phil Vaasar, Florida Georgia Line, Craig Campbell, Greg Bates, Chuck Wicks, Kree Harrison and Olympic figure skating champion Scott Hamilton as well as National Radio Personalities Bobby Bones and Blair Garner all joined cancer survivors to participate in City of Hope’s Celebrity Softball Challenge presented by Staples and emceed by Storme Warren from GAC’s Headline Country.
Over the years, the game has raised well over $2 million dollars benefiting City of Hope’s life-saving mission – finding cures and better treatments for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. I am thrilled to be a Social Media Ambassador this year and will be on-site with interviews, pics and sorts of Socialness to help make Social Media Outreach a Home run!
The 24rd Annual Celebrity Softball Challenge will be played on Saturday, June 7 201, 9 a.m. at Greer Stadium in Nashville the SAME week as CMA Music Fest. Tickets are on sale now!
