“Love one another and you will be happy. It’s as simple and as difficult as that.” Michael Leunig
Love is in the air as 6 Country Music industry couples recently said “I do”. Their day was nothing short of magical but here are some of our favorite moments.
Rose Falcon and Rodney Atkins
The couple wed in Captiva Island, FL in November. The most cherished moment was shared with #Cmchat during an interview with Rose last week. Rodney’s son Elijah, 12 years old, approached the couple during the rehearsal dinner and asked to give a speech during the ceremony. Rose tried to downplay her emotions so he wouldn’t change his mind but her heart was overflowing. Elijah, true to his word, gave a beautiful tribute to the couple right before the vows were exchanged. You can join Rose right here on Country Music Chat for a #CMchat Twitterview on 12/23.
Ashley Monroe and John Danks
Ashley never saw herself getting married because a key person, her dad, had passed away when she was young. Instead, she honored him. With a picture of her late father on display, she was escorted down the aisle by her brother, grandfather, uncle and stepfather…all the men that held her up over the years.
The wedding was officiated by Blake Shelton. His wife, Miranda Lambert, was the Maid of Honor and threatened him. He maintained unusual restraint with only 1 jab. He wished Ashley “every ounce of happiness” and John “good luck”.
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock
The couple got married at Blackberry Farms in TN with just a few guests in attendance. The wedding was beautiful but the most special was the ring Kelly designed for her husband. The ring is white gold with 6 sapphires around, each representing a special moment in their lives.
Tom Gossin and Jaime Moffett
The couple wed with a roaring twenties theme at Cannery Ballroom in Nashville. Jaime surprised the guests when she changed into a black dress and danced on stage with back up singers. Also notable was the groomsmen wore bow ties made from wood. The night was described as “relaxed and funny” completely fitting for this beautiful couple.
Gwen Sebastian and Louis Newman
Gwen Sebastian married her drummer Louis Newman on 11/12/13….a popular date for nuptials. She announced her engagement over on Facebook saying “Goin’ to the chapel & we’re gonna get married”. The bride wore a traditional white wedding gown and a little twist….bright red heels matching her red nail polish.
Sarah Darling and James Muriel
The best thing about their beautiful ceremony is that no one knew it happened. The couple managed to keep their simple, private wedding away from the press for several months. They got married in Key West, FL with just the sounds of nature as their backdrop. The couple is planning a large wedding in May, 2014.
