#Tunesday – New Music – April 14th


We’ve heard everything from Sangria to Stay a Little Longer on radio these last few weeks. This week, a new set of songs make its way to radio. The songs featured this week pick up the speed. “Trans Am” and “35 MPH Town” are both titled based on the road, but the subject matter strays from the past. Here are the latest singles that will be heard this week on country radio:

Toby Keith – 35 MPH Town

Toby Keith has released numerous albums since his self-titled album back in 1993. From his sixty singles, he has gained a countless number of hits. “35 MPH Town” comes from Toby’s eighteenth studio album, expected in June. Thompson Square – Trans Am

The married duo Thompson Square has had much success since “Are You Going To Kiss Me Or Not” became one of the most popular songs of 2011. “Trans Am” comes off of the duo’s third album that has yet to be announced. The Thompson Square sound has changed quite a bit in the last few years and this single is the first taste of what is yet to come from the couple. What are your thoughts on the single?
